Outboard Motor Maintenance Check List

Remove & Replace Fuel Water Separator.
Check Fuel.
Remove & Replace Fuel Filters on Motor.
Remove & Replace Spark Plugs.
Change Engine Oil & Filter. (4 Stroke only)
Remove & Replace Thermostats
Clean Under Engine Cowling.
Grease Motor Bracket.
Check Batteries.
Clean Connections on Battery & Spray with Protectant.
Replace Zincs/Anode as Needed on Motor and Bracket.
Complete Inspection of Motor & Mechanical Systems to Motor.
Complete Inspection of Steering/Controls & Grease if possible.
If Available, Connect Computer to the Engine to Check Hours & or Codes.
Complete inspection on Trim & ensure it functions up & down/Top Off Fluid.

Pull Lower unit.
Pressure Test Lower Unit.
Remove & Replace Water Pump.
Drain Lower Unit Oil & Replace.
Remove Prop & Grease Shaft.
Replace Zincs/Anodes on Midsection & Lower Unit as Needed.
Reinstall Lower Unit.
Start Motor on Hose, Test All Systems, Shift & Throttle.
Compression test
Ignition test
Clean Boat & Motor and Prepare for Customer Pickup/Delivery.
Additional Time for Corrosion Are Not Included in Price for Regular Service and May Include:
- Heating or Removing Corroded Bolts
- Removing Broken Bolts
